The volunteers came together over the course of five two-hour shifts to assemble all of the non-perishable items for Thanksgiving baskets.

Those baskets will be distributed Thanksgiving week, along with a turkey and other perishable items, to 4,500 local families in need.

This exciting and fast-paced event combined church groups, families, work teams and other concerned citizens to help families gather around the table this holiday season with one less worry.

This year’s event was presented by PNC Bank and sponsors included Kentucky Utilities, Stites & Harbison, Vulcan Materials SRC of Lexington, Inc., Kebco, Inc., MCM CPA’s and Advisors.
