Olympics roundup: McCoughtry hits double digits in Team USA rout of Angola

Two Kentucky college athletes participated in day three of the London Olympics. You can see a rundown of their performances below. For the full schedule of when Kentucky high school and college athletes are competing in the London Olympics, click here.

 

Former UofL women’s basketball player Angel McCoughtry scored 10 points in Team USA’s 90-38 win versus Angola. McCoughtry added added four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

 

UofL swimmer Pedro Oliveira won his preliminary heat in the men’s 200-meter butterfly, but his time of 1:58.45 was not fast enough to qualify for the semifinals of the event.
