R.J. Corman Railroad Group CEO King to deliver commencement address at BCTC

Craig King, president and CEO of R.J. Corman Railroad Group, will deliver the keynote address Sunday, May 8, for the Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) graduation commencement.

The service will begin at 5 p.m. at the Frankfort Convention Center, 405 Mero Street, Frankfort, Ky. Nearly 2,000 candidates will be awarded credentials for graduation.

King was appointed president of the R.J. Corman Railroad Group in 2013, after a 35-year career at CSX with responsibilities in engineering and transportation. He is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of all R.J. Corman Railroad’s companies, including derailment services, construction, aviation services and the R.J. Corman Dinner Trains.

R. J. Corman Railroad Group, founded in 1973, has grown into a multi-service provider to the railroad industry with more than 40 locations throughout the United States, including ten short line operations.

King attended the University of Kentucky and has an undergraduate degree from the University of Phoenix and an M.B.A. from Jacksonville University.

“BCTC is honored to have a commencement speaker of the stature of Craig King. Graduates can learn from his story of success as they celebrate their own accomplishment with friends and family,” said BCTC President Augusta Julian.
