Report: Josh Harrellson to make return to NBA on two-year deal with Detroit Pistons

Former UK forward Josh Harrellson has returned to the NBA.

Harrellson, who spent the 2012-13 season in China, has signed a two-year contract with the Detroit Pistons, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports. Harrellson was named MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association after averaging 22 points and 18 rebounds per game.


Harrellson was the second-round pick of the New Orleans Hornets in 2011 but was immediately traded to the New York Knicks. In two seasons with the Knicks, Harrellson averaged four points and 3.5 rebounds per game.


As a senior at UK, Harrellson averaged 7.6 point and 8.7 rebounds per game.
