The evening’s events will feature former Wildcat standout Jesse Witten playing last year’s tournament champion James Ward of Great Britain. In addition, fans can witness a race for the USTA Pro Circuit women’s wild card into the US Open between two of the tournament’s contenders, Melanie Oudin and Louisa Chirico at 7 p.m..

For pure entertainment, fans can watch an exhibition match in which UK men’s tennis coach Cedric Kauffmann and UK football defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot take on Kyle Macy and Jack “Goose” Givens, both members of UK’s 1978 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship team.

We will also surprise one of our tournament mainstays with special recognition for all she or he has done to make this event the success it is.

Don’t miss this special event at the state’s only professional tennis tournament, where we get a glimpse of the rising stars of the future!
