Thoroughbred Charities of America Stallion Season Auction underway; largest fundraiser for organization


The 30th annual Thoroughbred Charities of America Stallion Season Auction presented by LNJ Foxwoods is currently underway. The auction is the largest annual fundraiser for the organization.

Bidding on nearly 200 stallion seasons from 15 states began Wednesday on Starquine.com and will continue through Jan. 10 at 5 p.m. EST. Seasons available in the online auction include Gun Runner (with a 2021 breed back), Palace Malice, Liam’s Map, Good Magic, More Than Ready, and many more. View all seasons here.

In addition to the online auction, a live auction will be held at the ‘Tis the Seasons Celebration on Jan. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Distillery Square in Lexington. Seasons to Audible, Blame, Constitution, Street Sense (with a 2021 breed back), and Vino Rosso will be offered.

Interested bidders or their authorized agents may bid in the live auction by attending the Celebration or they may contact TCA prior to noon on Jan. 11 to arrange telephone bidding. Additionally, TCA will honor Madeline Auerbach with the Allaire du Pont Leadership Award and the Race Track Chaplaincy of America – Metropolitan New York Division with the Ellen and Herb Moelis Industry Service Award. TCA also offers a variety of non-season items including halters worn by Tapit, Maximum Security, Country House, Quality Road, Lady Eli, and Ghostzapper. Online bidding for these items is available through the conclusion of the Celebration on Sunday.

In addition to seasons, some items including equine air transportation via Tex Sutton, a five-night stay at a beachfront bed and breakfast in Costa Rica, and a ticket package featuring tickets to all 2020 Triple Crown races will be offered in the live auction at the Celebration.
