Three finalists named for new president BCTC; Public will have opportunity to meet candidates Dec. 10-11

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) has announced the finalists for the position of president/CEO of Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC).

The finalists are:

Dr. Koffi Akakpo, vice president for Business, Administrative and Student Services, North Central State College, Mansfield, Shelby and Bucyrus, Ohio

• Dr. Anthony Clarke, president, Southeastern Community College, Whiteville, North Carolina

Dr. Jeff Jochems, president/vice chancellor, Ozarks Technical Community College, Richwood Valley Campus, Nixa, Missouri

The finalists will visit Campus December 10-11. During their visit, candidates will meet with faculty, staff, students, the board of directors and local leaders. The public also will have an opportunity to meet the candidates at the following forums:

Monday, December 10

Dr. Koffi Akakpo
7:30 – 8:30 a.m. – Community forum
10 – 11 a.m. – student/faculty/staff forum

Dr. Anthony Clarke
8:45 – 9:45 a.m. – Community forum
11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. – student/faculty/staff forum

Tuesday, December 11

Dr. Jeff Jochems
7:30 – 8:30 a.m. – Community forum
10 – 11 a.m. – student/faculty/staff forum

Community forums and student/faculty/staff forums will be at the Newtown Campus – Classrooms 105-107.
