Three UK football players named preseason All-SEC by league coaches

Three Kentucky football players have been named to the preseason All-Southeastern Conference team.

Senior linebacker Danny Trevathan and junior offensive guard Larry Warford were named the first team. Senior punter Ryan Tydlacka was named to the third team.

In 2010, Trevathan was named a first-team All-American by CollegeFootballNews.com, fourth-team All-American by Phil Steele’s College Football and first-team All-SEC by the SEC coaches, Associated Press, Phil Steele’s College Football and CollegeFootballNews.com. He led the SEC in tackles last season with 144 and was second in the SEC in fumbles caused with four.

Warford started every game for UK in 2010 and received second-team All-SEC honors from multiple selectors. He led UK with 43 knockdown blocks last season.

Tydlacka averaged 43.8 yards per punt in 2010, including a career-long punt at Ole Miss of 73 yards. He was named the SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the week for the South Carolina game when he landed three punts inside the 20-yard line to help lead UK to an upset win.
