The public is invited to attend an open house on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Lyric Theatre to discuss preliminary plans for the next phase of Lexington’s Legacy Trail.

Trail planners and city officials will be on-hand to explain ideas, answer questions and to listen to the public. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Lyric Theatre is located at 300 E. Third St. in downtown Lexington.

This phase of the design will cover linkages from the planned Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden in the east, to the North YMCA in the west. This trail will tie in to the existing Legacy Trail, which continues on to the Kentucky Horse Park. Other items to be discussed include art, education, history, culture and the environment.
