Logan Stenberg didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.

The University of Kentucky offensive lineman was selected as the 121st overall pick by the Detroit Lions. The Lions have selected seven former Kentucky players, including Larry Warford in 2013.

“(I’m) pumped,” he said in a tweet after getting drafted. “Go Lions.”

Stenberg made 39 straight starts at Kentucky and started every game for the last three years of his collegiate career. He graded at 85 percent last season and had 95 knockdown blocks, including 209 at the point of attack.

He didn’t allow a sack and had only one quarterback pressure.

“Man, the Lions just got a nasty dude,” Kentucky recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow said. “Go Big Blue.”

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops said Stenberg made an impression in in front of several scouts during the off-season, which proved to be beneficial.

“He did an awful lot,” Stoops said. “He was able to go to the Senior Bowl and that was big for him and the (NFL) Combine.”
